Attend Y Combinator Startup School – For Free!

Y Combinator LogoAre you an entrepreneur at heart?  Thinking of starting a startup?  Wouldn’t it be great if you could get help and advice from some highly successful innovators and leaders who have already paved their own way and are interested in helping you pave yours?  Now you can and the best part is that it’s free.

Y Combinator Startup School is a free to attend in person, or watch online.  In their one-day conference you’ll “hear stories and practical advice from founders and investors. Learn how they got started, what went wrong, what surprised them, and what happened as their companies grew.”

The event’s lineup of speakers include many inspiring and talented professionals which are, unfortunately, almost all men.  However, there are two women speakers, both of whom certainly are innovators and shakers in the lineup: Michelle Zatlyn, co-founder and Head of User Experience of CloudFlare; and Danae Ringelmann, co-founder of Indiegogo.

Other great speakers in attendance include Kevin System (CEO and co-founder of Instagram), Reid Hoffman (co-founder of LinkedIn), and Andrew Mason (co-founder and CEO of Detour, and founder and CEO of Groupon).

About Y Combinator

Founded in 2005, Y Combinator (YC) has now been deemed by Fast Company as “the world’s most powerful start-up incubator”.  Twice each year, Y Combinator funds selected startups, offering each $120,000 in seed funds.  Startups are required to move to Silicon Valley (California) for three months in order to receive guidance and support to get their startups into the best shape possible in order to present themselves to investors.  YC continues to provide support and services to all startups long after they become successful, mature businesses.
